As a surprise treat, customers purchasing Lewistown Ruritan’s famous BBQ chicken on Sunday, September 10, were given sweet corn grown by Lewistown Ruritan member Sam Roop, on his farm Brookfield near Thurmont. Through Sam’s generosity, many customers at the BBQ enjoyed not only the BBQ chicken, but delicious sweet corn as well.
