baton-rampage-wins-titleThe Rampage National Baton Twirling Teams have captured the national title of Beginner Senior Large Twirl Team Champions. Rampage is the competitive name for the spin-off group from the Catoctin-Ettes, Inc. and Catoctin-Aires Twirling Corps.

In order to compete for this prestigious title, the group of nine twirlers traveled to South Bend, Indiana, where they twirled at the University of Notre Dame for the week-long event. The National Baton Twirling Association holds its national championship yearly at the University.

All members of the national team were participants in the winning title event and received commemorative Olympic-style medallions. They were: Abigail Adams, Rachel Bechler, Kiara and Shyanne George, Erika Oland, Jilliam Plummer, Caitlyn Purdum, Kelly Reed, and Angela Ridenour. The head coach and director of the group is Donna Landsperger.

In addition to this title, the group also placed in the top ten, earning second place in the Beginner Senior Small Twirl Team category and eighth place in the Beginner Senior Large Dance-Twirl category.
